Gary has served as Executive Director of the Stamford Counseling Center since 2009. In addition to his administration of a busy mental health center with 12 therapists on staff, he works with children, adolescents, couples and families, and runs workshops on sexual abuse recovery, stepfamily issues, anger management and parent empowerment. He also works with local attorneys and the courts in high conflict custody cases. With special training in EMDR, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and even Sand Tray Therapy, Gary brings a range of talents and expertise to all that he does.

Gary is a clinical fellow in the AAMFT and an associate member of APA. He is also holds a CT professional teacher’s license, having taught high school English for many years. Gary still teaches at the college level as an adjunct professor of psychology at Norwalk Community College.

Gary and his wife Karen, also an LMFT, often work together. “Having both genders in the room is so very powerful and valuable. Of all the work we do, I love the marital co-therapy best. We work well together as a team in helping couples grow a healthy relationship.”
